http://www.sparkpe.org/blog/asthma-and-childhood-obesity-infographic/ Beginning today, November 9, students will no longer go outside for PE. PE will remain indoors until spring.
Please continue to make sure students wear sneakers on PE days. Thank you! Students who were able to attend PE during the half day began fitness centers. Students rotate every two minutes between 18 to 20 centers. The focus of the centers varies from center to center. We are attempting to workout different parts of the body. Balance, core strength, upper body strength, agility, and hand eye coordination are included in these centers. These centers will remain for 2-3 weeks.
Ask your child what fitness centers are their favorite! The beautiful weather continues! We took advantage today by setting up relay races outside. Some of the races involved a ball or a hula hoop. Many of the kindergarten classes had never participated in a relay race. Today they learned how a relay race works.
Students in our last class of the day did not have time to participate in relay races due to early dismissal. |
