All classes are taking a break from hockey or volleyball. These units will continue after February break. All classes are now learning the art of jump rope. Students new to jump rope will learn the basic jump. Students who are familiar with jump rope will spend time learning different "tricks". Most student have completed some of the following jumps in the last two days.
Skier Bell Skier/Bell combo Side straddle Front straddle Side straddle/Front straddle combo Cross Practice at home would really benefit those new to jump rope, especially grades k-2. For those students who can do some of the above "tricks", ask them to show you if you have a jump rope at home! True or False: You'd have to run an eight-minute mile to work off more calories than you'd burn jumping rope.
