Students in grades 3-5 continued one-on-one battles using lacrosse sticks. One student rolls the ball while the other two students race towards the ball trying to be the first one to scoop it up. Whoever scoops the ball first is on offense. The student who did not scoop the ball is on defense. The offense makes a move trying to get free from the defender and gets one shot at a goal (hitting the cone). After the shot is taken, students rotate and play begins again. Students in grades 3-5 will begin small lacrosse games tomorrow in a 4 vs. 4 match. Googles and gloves are always worn.
Students in grades k-2 used the Scoops. Hula hoops are place a distance apart from each other. Students practice throwing using the Scoop by trying to get the ball in the hoops. This game is similar to the format used in horseshoes where teammates stand on opposite ends of the hoops. Have a good night!
