Indoor recess led to adjustments in the schedule. Some of Haller's classes were by themselves in the MP room and some of Haller's classes were combined in the large gym with Bruce and Kiefer. This is normally not a big deal, but on the second day of school when kids are still learning routines it can cause some confusion. However, the children did a good job of adjusting.
Some students in grades 3-5 who have Haller played indoor soccer. Haller's other classes may have played elbow tag, noodle tag, or "Get to Know Your Classmates." "Get to Know Your Classmates" is a game where children learn about their classmates' favorite color, food, subject, etc. They move to different spots of the gym based on their answers. This was played by some of Haller's classes and all of the classes for Bruce and Kiefer. We continue to work on routines while learning our daily exercises. Many of our exercises are new. Ask your child to show you some of the new exercises including popcorn, scissor jacks, plank punches, and airplane. There are lots of kids with no sneakers. Please ensure your child has sneakers each day. Thanks!
