You tube video called "Exercise and Learning" about the benefits of having PE everyday and how it relates to increased test scores. Presenter is a little "dry" but the information is good.

Thanks to all those who participated! It was a great time! Below is an article about participation in youth sports decreasing due to parents choosing to have their children focus on only one sport.

Some of the older students played 4-team soccer. Four teams made of 5 students play soccer at the same time. What makes the game most fun, though, is there on two balls in play at one time. Each class had one student picked as student of the month for September. Coaches look for students who routinely display the characteristics of listening, following directions, teamwork, kindness, sportsmanship, and great effort. This can be a difficult decision for the coaches since generally one student from each class is selected. Ask your child who received the award in their class. Encourage them to explain why they think that student received the award. Lastly, reminder that the Run for Readers is taking place on Saturday at 9:00. We encourage all students to sign up and participate! Contact the office at Scott M. Ellis if your family is interested in running! |
